These violin plots show how Victory Points are distributed across games:

  • Width = Frequency: The wider the shape at any point, the more games ended with that VP score. Think of it like a sideways histogram - fat areas mean common scores, thin areas mean rare scores.
  • Dashed Line = Median: The horizontal dashed line shows the median (middle value) - half of all games scored above this line, half below.
  • Box = Middle 50%: The rectangular box highlights where the middle 50% of scores fall (from the 25th to 75th percentile). Most "typical" games end up in this range.

Example: If the violin is widest at 3 VP, that means 3 VP was the most common score. If it's thin at 0 VP and 6 VP, those extreme scores were rare.
